Case study: 15,000 psi HPHT Wellhead Package, North Sea | Riis Energy Services

- Southern North Sea, Norway
- Operator, Norwegian Continental Shelf
- 11 months
- Wellhead & Pressure Control Equipment
The challenge
An infill drilling campaign required 15,000 psi, 150 °C sour-service equipment on a compressed schedule to match rig availability.
Our solution
We adapted our qualified CW-13 compact wellhead, ran PR2 validation for the new tree block, and set up a dedicated test-cell shift pattern to test two assemblies per week.
The results
All 6 packages delivered 3 weeks ahead of rig arrival with zero non-conformances at client FAT.
Timeline
- Month 1 Design review & PR2 plan
- Months 2–7 Forging, machining, assembly
- Months 8–10 Hydro and gas testing, FAT
- Month 11 Delivery to supply base
